Rooms
One of the features of our structure that sets STEM apart from all other studios in the valley is the fact that it was built from the ground up to be a recording studio, not a modification of a building designed for other purposes. This allows for separate foundations for each room, which limits vibration and sound from passing from one room to another.
The HVAC system is dedicated for each room, so sound does not travel from room to room through duct work. Our framework of electrical, low voltage electrical, audio and network cabling was carefully planned and executed before the inside walls were built so there are no buzzes, hums or unsightly piles of cables to step over.

The main room is spacious with 12-foot ceilings and no parallel surfaces. All rooms were designed and treated by acoustical engineer and studio designer, Andy Barrett of Analog Domain, to provide superior acoustics.
